Lobo Pollero.
Es el lagarto terrestre de mayor tamaño, alcanzando aproximadamente un metro de longitud. El macho es mas grande y robusto que la hembra. Presentan un mayor desarrollo en la base de la cola y llegan a pesar entre 3.5 y 4 Kilogramos. Su comportamiento es moderado y cuidadoso al cazar. Puede atacar animales domenticos colo los pollos, de hay su nombre colombiano "lobo pollero".

Crias: 20 a 50
Dieta: Frutos, Peces, Anfibios e insectos.
Amenazas: Casería ilegal.
