vegetables khichuri
khichuri is a very famous food for bangalis.it's so easy to make.now I describe how to make it.khichuri is normally made of rice nd pluses. but I can also add some vegetables to it.That's why I think it would be more delicious nd nutritious.
Ingredients:
rice-1 cup
moogdal-1/2cup
masoor dal-1/2
cauliflowers
carrots
potatoes
beans
sunflower oil
ghee
cinnamon,claves,bay leaf, cumin
garlic,ginger, onion
turmeric
water
salt
green chilli nd coriander for garnish
preparation:
Take rice nd pluses in a bowl and rinse together.
slow roast the moog dal in a pan till it's golden.
when lenits cool rinse them water.chop the vegetables and keep aside.
making:
Heat the oil in a pan once hot add them first onion when its golden then add all species till they aromatic. and add them chopped vegetables stir nd saute for 2-3 minutes.
add roasted moog dal nd rice saute for 3 minutes.
add the 4 cups water
and add salt stir them 10 minutes.
At last serve the bangali vegetables khichuri....
