HOW TO LEAD WITH DEPRESSION, ANXIETY AND STRESS
Depression or sadness are part of a natural part of life. People disappoint us, things go wrong, we lose loved ones or the dreams we value. When the depression lasts for weeks or months, occurs frequently and interferes with your ability to interact with people and enjoy your life, you probably suffer some kind of depression.
Look for signs of depression:
If you have not yet sought help to treat your depression, it is imperative that you do so and do not try to go through this alone. There are many common symptoms that are related to depression after mentioning some and if you feel identified with any of them you need to go to your doctor.
- Possess an inability to function normally in daily life.
- Tiredness and the feeling of doing things that require a lot of energy.
- Sensation of sadness and generally depression, during a period of at least two weeks.
- Sensation of uselessness, guilt, and lack of self-esteem.
- Sleep a greater part of the normal or suffer from insomnia.
- Unusual weight gain or loss, excessive feeding or loss of appetite.
- pessimism or feeling that life is useless.
- Irritability or restlessness for a long time.
- Suicidal thoughts, thoughts about death or suicide attempts.
Modify the lifestyle.
Sleep well.
Soil is essential to have a healthy and balanced body. Lack of sleep can worsen negative thoughts and can easily turn into a vicious circle in which your negative thoughts keep you awake and deactivate your ability to sleep properly. Waking up tired is a common complaint during depression and even sleeping too much can make depressed people feel tired.
Exercise.
A recent study revealed that exercise is as effective as Zoloft (a selective inhibitor of serotonin reuptake or SSRI) in the treatment of depression. Exercise releases a natural antidepressant chemical in your brain and makes you active. Start with a few with a walk to the store, around the block or even to the park. Gradually elaborate a routine that your needs and fun.
Maintain a good support network.
Having the support of people who love you and care about you is an important part of the healing process. Tell people you trust that you are depressed and that you appreciate their understanding and sympathy, it is much more difficult for people to help you if you are reserved and do things that seem inexplicably strange.
Some advices.
- Always keep busy doing something positive. Sitting alone or thinking about the bad events in your life is to express them to someone just make your depression worse.
Avoid comparing yourself with other people. - Surround yourself with positive things. Get rid of all the things in your life that irritate or depress you.
- If the counselor you see does not help you, go to another.
- Let your relatives and even friends your close friends know your problem. At first you might be ashamed, but hiding your depression from those who care about you can rob you of a valuable support system. You might be surprised at how many people understand the problem you're going through.
Woff, woff!
Hello @miguelcharaima, Nice to meet you!
I'm a guide dog living in KR community. I can see that you want to contribute to KR community and communicate with other Korean Steemians. I really appreciate it and I'd be more than happy to help.
KR tag is used mainly by Koreans, but we give warm welcome to anyone who wish to use it. I'm here to give you some advice so that your post can be viewed by many more Koreans. I'm a guide dog after all and that's what I do!
Tips:
Unfortunately, Google Translate is terrible at translating English into Korean. You may think you wrote in perfect Korean, but what KR Steemians read is gibberish. Sorry, even Koreans can't understand your post written in Google-Translated Korean.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy Steemit without getting downvotes. Because Steemit is a wonderful place. See? Korean Steemians are kind enough to raise a guide dog(that's me) to help you!
