OPEN THE PACKAGE

Happy new month wonderful Steemians! At last I'm able to escape this self-inflicted hibernation, just happy to be back here!

So many things to write about but little time available. I'll just go straight to the point.
Most of us live fake lives, then we call it packaging, I believe there's nothing wrong in letting people around us know our worth and appreciate us for who we really are.

I have a childhood friend whose life has been full of packaging. In fact he can package just anything, name it. This became his habit, he hardly gives a straight answer, there's always another way he'll answer you when the truth is to be told. Years pass and we hardly believe whatever he says. He speaks and no one listens, even if he says he's broke, we'll rather believe he has plenty. Simply put, he's living _ a packaged life_.

Many of us need help, we want to ask for it, fortunately, our ego will not disturb us but our packaged life will.

There's nothing wrong in packaging one's life so far you have something inside the package.

Let me say it clearly, be open, be real, there's nothing to be ashamed of. Nobody's life is perfect, you're not supposed to be bouyant, beautiful, healthy and active all the time. When you're down, let people around you know, they'll be there to support and care for you.

Few years back my friend I used earlier in the illustration above came to me, he 'said', (said is in a quite because up till now I don't believe him) he was broke, though I didn't have much on me but would've given him little I could afford to part with, I didn't believe him because he was always having plenty (I believed). It was after years has passed I realised he was living a fake (packaged) life.

You don't want people to mock or look down on you right? Then you want people to help you get to your dreams, you'll have to open the package of your life and let your helper know what you're passing through. Your true helper won't mock you.

Since the way you carry yourself or appear determines your worth. Don't ever lower your worth but don't unnecessarily add to what you're not.

I have another friend that has two packaged car. The first car is tinted flashy and classy, loud and lovely sound systems but the engine is bad Automobiles mechanics work on his cars almost everyday, you'll see his car at the junction to the house, for his second car, his radiator is always leaking, always looking for water here and there
I'm not mocking him, but just wondering, why spend more on the outside of the car to be presentable and neglect the most important part of a car? WHY?

I think it is better to have a loaded life without noise than an empty one with a beautiful packaging

THE REASONS TO OPEN YOUR PACKAGE

• When your friends realise the kind of person you're, your real value will be lost. To get that back might be difficult. Even when you're saying the truth, they tend to just scoff and smile if they don't want to embarrass you.

• As much as living a packaged life gives us more respect, prestige and even good popularity, we become a perpetual liar to friends and family. Few of them might be bold enough to get the full gist from you but others will just believe you're lying even when you're saying the truth.

• Most of the time, an empty but packaged life attracts fake friends that have the same lifestyle. Getting real friends become a difficult task. The real ones will want to distance themselves except your die-hard fan that can really tell you the truth whether you'll take to their advice or not.

• When our empty package is opened, our ego/morale drops. I mean when someone tells it to our face about our lies or the truth burst open the fake package. It becomes a shameful thing, except for some that do not care and act as if nothing as happened, I have someone like that.

• To get help becomes difficult from those we've boasted to have owned the whole world. Imagine asking for a ride from someone who thought you have fleet of cars, except on some occasions you can cover up with a bigger lie.

WHAT TO DO

Be open, it'll never reduce your value but give people around you what you really worth. When you need help, to ask won't be difficult to ask for one.

People tend to accept you for who you're. Imagine someone you've told the truth about your life will never associate you with what you've never told him/her you are. Keep it simple.

All these people, friends and families I've been taking are the real ones. I'm not it is normal to open up about your life to strangers or the ones that you feel are not real or do not have your best interest at heart.

Remember, problems shared are half solved, that's for the real friends. For the fake ones, it's gossip.

Sincerely no one is a judge and everyone has the right to live their lives the way they deem perfect, just a piece of advice to be real.
