What Do I Want To Do Today?

I start my day now with my favorite question, what do I want to do today?

I'm retired after working 30 years of the corporate grind, the last 10 years of of those in IT as a Network Administrator. I loved working in IT, but I always hated the corporate rat race.

I left my IT job and my new purpose was to be the caretaker of my mother-in-law. However, I thought I would get bored, so I started an organic blueberry orchard. The next three years were difficult at times, because of my own health issues and I had overextended myself with taking care of myself, Mom and the orchard. However, we had great times too, our favorite was watching Alton Brown's Good Eats. We shared the love of cooking and eating , of course. :) At the rip old age of 89, Mom passed away and just like that I had lost my TV watching partner and missed our heart felt talks late into the night. I was really drained after those three years and checked myself into a hospital to take care of my own health issues. I also sold most of my blueberry plants and just kept a few for our family.

I took some time to recoup and now I'm ready to tackle the world again. Therefore, my answer to what am I going to do today is to write my very first post here.

Gardening - Working on changing my old blueberry orchard to Permaculture, and I do organic gardening.

I also enjoy, zumba, belly dancing, yoga, bicycling, bowling, traveling, camping, equine, and my dogs.

One project I'm working on now is my chicken house. This will be the first time I've owned chickens and I refurbished an old chicken house my neighbor wasn't using any more and next I'm making a homemade egg incubator, since she has roasters.
