And no, socialism alone did not create the horrific plight currently faced by the Venezuelan people.

Socialism will always create horrific conditions for it's people's....with or without intervention..

Decades of sanctions and meddling have proven to be unbelievably effective at hurling their economy into a whirlwind of chaos, collapsing their currency, and cutting them off from the rest of the world—literally starving them to death.

Only effective because a strong economy cannot exist under socialism.
Look at Russia since all the sanctions - they are operating free market policy and their economy has grown , BECAUSE of sanctions AND ATTEMPTED MEDDLING.
The difference is socialism and a free markets economy...
