In the north of Israel, a jeep driver shot down three military men

The Israeli serviceman defeated the driver of the jeep, who knocked him down and two more soldiers in the town of Akko in the north of the country, with response fire, the police said.

The motorist, whose actions may have been intentional, rammed pedestrians in two different parts of the city with a small time interval.

"A civilian jeep raided the frontier guard and two other soldiers, one of them opened fire on a jeep ... The suspect is rendered harmless and seriously injured," the police said.

All three siloviki were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The police are investigating the incident and yet do not say who the motorist was and whether his actions could be considered an act of terrorism.
