history of aceh

This broadcast is aimed simply to recall that Aceh's history is part of Ummah history, part of the history of the World; part of something great. The da'wah da'wah and broadcasting of Islam in Southeast Asia pioneered by political leaders in Aceh is the history of the World. The struggle for the defense of the Islamic countries of Southeast Asia is the history of the World. The glory of the world's maritime trade and economy is the history of the World. The Aceh-Dutch War is among the longest war in the World. The unrelenting resistance to imperialism-even when the Dutch had occupied In and had built various facilities and infrastructure in the occupied territories-was also among the stirring resistance in the World. It is part of the history of the World, part of something great.

The reality of Aceh as it is today is not a benchmark for measuring the reality of Aceh in the past. Looking at Aceh's history as a traceable part of today's reality is unwise; will dwarf even historical menzhalimi. The situation is already much different. Aceh in its historical reality in the past must be understood as something separate from today's reality. But, if a person often visits the dream of a returning Aceh possessing its power and role as it did in the past, then it is necessary to find that history and then to animate it.

To inspire the history of Aceh undoubtedly sees a vision that is not visible in the reality of life as it is today. Those visions undoubtedly assumed so many burdens and responsibilities. When a person moves to bear the burden and responsibility, then it is also back to the people of Aceh with the real meaning, and Aceh history wheels are moving back to continue the long journey stopped.

Because Aceh's history is part of the history of the World, it is found, though sometimes a bit, in the sheets circulating in various parts of the World far from Aceh, such as in Al-Muqtathaf Magazine published in 1920 in Cairo.

In order to rectify the statement of Amirah Qadriyah Husain (daughter of Kamil Husain, ruler of Egypt from 1914-1917, under English) on Syajaratud Dur, Rizqullah Manqariyus Shadafī, a Coptic scholar and author of Tarikh Duwal Al-Islam, wrote in Al-Muqtathaf Magazine (monthly Beirut and Cairo, 1876-1952) an article entitled "Al-Malikat fi Al-Islam (The Queen in Islamic history).

In an article published in the August and September editions of Al-Muqtathaf in 1920, Manqariyus wrote of 17 female leaders in Islamic history that he knew. In the September issue, the author begins his descriptions from sequence number 8 to number 11 under subtitles: "Four Queen of Aceh" (Malikat Atcin al-Arba ').

The mention of the queen's names from Aceh and their reign was overrun by the writer with a statement that one can only understand how Islam develops in a very short time if he really knows where Islam has spread in such a fast and fascinating time.

The description of Manqariyus which refers to the sources: Encyclopedia of Islam I: 508; Encyclopedia Britannica (Acheen); and Universal Geography by Elisee Reclus Vol. 14: 109, has tried to express in a very brief way about Sumatra where Aceh is one of its most important kingdoms, then about the founders of the Aceh kingdom and its successors, until the time of the Shafiyyatuddin Sultanah titled Tajul 'Alam and the queens thereafter.

From his reading sources, Manqariyus mentions that during the time of Shafiyyatuddin, the influence of Aceh extends to more than half of Sumatra. He also said, during the reign of the queens, Aceh was in a golden age. The state of Aceh had just changed and experienced ups and downs after their government, until finally the Dutch "swallowed" Aceh like swallowing thorns after a great battle.
