Fridays Rocks: this chunk of rock was found on a dusty shelf in a Chinese rock shop in China town, เจอหินก้อนใหญ่ที่ร้านย่านไชน่าเทาวน์

This is my entry for #fridaysrock by @nat-expressions curated by @shasta. This is a big rock I found on a very dusty shelf in a Chinese rock shop in China town several years ago.

This is solid chunk weighing about three kilos! It’s a very special rock with lots of quartz formations. I did look up the Book of Stone which said it’s called Elestial quartz. This link will give details of this stone properties. Elestial quartz.

หินก้อนนี้เราได้มาจากร้านขายกินของชาวจีน ที่มาเปิดร้านขายในตลาดเก่าแถวไชน่าเทาวน์หลายปีมาแล้ว เราไปเดินเล่น และไปสะดุดตากับหินก้อนนี้ที่ตั้งอยู่บนชั้นที่มีแต่ฝุ่น เจ้าของร้านไม่ได้ดูแลหินเลย เขาเอาหินมาตั้งซ้อนกันระเกะระกะเต็มไปหมด คนขายเป็นคนจีนที่พูดภาษาไทยไม่ค่อยได้ และไม่มีความรู้เรื่องหินเท่าไร และมักจะเรียกชื่อหินผิด เราเองต้องคอยบอกชื่อหินที่เขาวางขาย และ บางครั้งต้องเป็นล่ามช่วยแปลภาษา ตลอดจนช่วยขายหินให้ชาวต่างชาติด้วย

หินก้อนนี้หนักเกือบสามกิโล เราเอาหินไว้บนที่สูงเพื่อช่วยปกป้องเราจากสิ่งที่ไม่ดีทั้งหลาย พลังหินทำให้ห้องทำงานสะอาดและสงบมากทีเดียว

I like the small quartz points that seem to be growing from inside the rock. There seems to have Smokey quartz inside this chunk. Smokey quartz is one of my favourite rocks, I find it very warm and friendly.
