I agree with your sentiment and see technology as great tool to allow us to have more. However, the other problem we have is structural, if our societies continue with the same hierarchy, we will end up with even more power and wealth in the hands of a few. If this is a result of the value they have created. Then that's great. Unfortunately, we have a lot of rentiers who simply extract value from others without bringing anything new to the table.

My hopes are that cryptocurrency will create a new class of people who will hold capital and these groups will chose to invest in the technology that makes the world better rather than simply making them richer.
