Life doesn't get better by chance, it gets better by change!
Most of us have the same old routines in our daily lives. We keep on doing the same things every day, because we are used to it. We are so stuck in our daily routines, that if something happens to change our routine, it can throw our whole day into chaos.
Our brains are designed to do the same things over and over. We become comfortable doing things the way we do it, and if anything throws out our rhythm, it is often difficult to accept.
Face it, we don't like changes!
We get so stuck in our ways, that instead of embracing change and make the best of it, we become miserable and fight about the changes, in the hope to get things back to what it was. If that doesn't work, we reluctantly accept things, just to wait for the next change in our lives, to be even more miserable. We lose our enthusiasm and we just do what we have to do, because we can't accept change.
About three weeks ago, I used some class time to read a book to my students. The book's name is "Who moved my cheese?"
This book was written by Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson and it will be an absolute wonderful addition to your bookshelf. It is a fast read but it made a real impact in my life.
It helped me to understand why change is NOT a bad thing, and it showed me some excellent ways to deal with changes in my life.
Change is a choice!
You have to decide if you want to be stuck in a rut, or if you want to change your life for the better. Don't let opportunities fly by, just because you are scared to make the jump. If an opportunity passes, the next one might NOT come along, and there is nothing worse than to regret the chances you never took in life.
You should be self assured with your decisions, otherwise that very familiar question of "What if?" will creep up on you more times than you can imagine.
If you regret things, it will change your life and you will turn into a negative person, and we all know that negative vibrations attract more negative things.
Why is change good for you?
You are moved out of your comfort zone. If you change your comfort zone, you will learn new things and you might be totally surprised at what you thought you couldn't do.
You will gain more life experience! There are so many opportunities out there that you won't believe! I am sure that you missed out on some awesome opportunities just because you were too scared to take a chance. The whole world is open in front of you.
What do you want people to remember when you are not longer roaming the earth? You now have an opportunity to find out exactly who you are and what you want to become in life.
Remember that it is never too late to do anything. You become more flexible and relaxed if you embrace change more.
Once you accept change, and you realized that it is a good thing, you will understand that you should never get too comfortable in one place. Once you embrace change, you will become a happier person!
When you are happy, change doesn't even really matter. You will realize that you are open to new things, and if you make a mistake, there is always the next opportunity, and you will know exactly how to handle it.
howdy from Texas giantbear! I was in steemitbloggers and saw your name and realized I hadn't been to your blog so here I am!
I'm glad I came too, very educational and encouraging! God bless you!
"Change is as good as a holiday!" most of us forget this in daily ritual of just doing what we have to do, you have triggered some good ideas in your post @giantbear
Back when, well then, they spoke of the '7 year itch', normally referring to marriage, if you made the first seven you would be OK. Well in my first seven we moved, traveled and did many great things before settling, to any young couple today I still suggest travel to learn, get out of that comfort zone, or just building a career, see the world and the wonderful people in it.
We really do not consider change in a daily routine, perhaps take a different road home, or stop along the way to enjoy a slightly different view, no matter how big or small yes change is good.
