The beautiful peacocks

Let's meet one of the most beautiful birds in the world, the Peacock!

There are many peacocks in world, especially in zoos, but did they know they came from far away? They came literally from the other side of the world, ie from Asia (Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India).
The peacock can reach more than 2 meters in length (including the tail) and 80 cm in height. It weighs approximately 4 kg. Males are larger and more showy than females.
Because they have a different beauty, mainly because of feathers and tail colors, our peacock friend is considered an ornamental bird, that is, it is like an exotic pet animal.

Peacock's favorite foods are: fruits, seeds, leaves, petals, insects and small mammals and reptiles. They usually feed twice a day: morning and evening.
They like to spend the night at the top of the trees, and when threatened, it is for the trees they flee. And a tip for anyone thinking of having an animal like that, is to cover their ears, because at nightfall, they usually scream, being that at the time of mating, their nocturnal screams become extremely unpleasant.
The peacock can become a great pet companion, as they live on average 30 years.
