Steemit & Social Media Addiction: Destructive or a means to success? (P.2)
Have you ever dreamt of your steemit post or in some cases thought about steemit and or your posts while eating with your family, always with your smart phone or laptop in the toilet, forgot to brush your teeth or eat, wake up and rush to steemit platform , forgot about Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn et al and in some cases dream about steemit posts while making love? If so then you might be addicted to this amazing platform however wait!!!! Better to be a bit addicted to steemit than Face book, WhatsApp , Instagram et al isn’t it -because at least you are learning new things and at the same time making money isn’t it? Below are some few points:
Danger of being addicted: social media addiction is real whether it is Facebook, or steemit , addiction is addiction . Even though you gain knowledge, make great contacts and make good money on steemit, you still have to be aware of the dangers of addiction especially forgetting important things like brushing your teeth, eating and sleep deprivation which are bad for your well-being
Relationship Issue: social media addiction is a relationship killer. Reason is that most people spend quality time on their PC or smart phone and in extreme cases they tend to forget the presence of their family members or children and do not have time for outdoor activities with friends and thus spend time online -making visual friends who share the same addiction with them. Even though you actually meet great / real intelligent people on steemit , spending too much time there (daily) can lead to family issues and or health issues.
# Some solutions:
Professional Help: If you know that you cannot control your addictive habits then it’s time to ask a professional for help.
Take a break: Steemit or any other social media platform will not vanish if you take a break (holiday, weekend outdoor outings etc) and spend some quality time with your friends and family. This is good because you will come back as a new person.
**Admit it: **Most people will never admit that they are addicted and this is dangerous because such people will never find a solution.
Conclusion : Even though steemit is a great platform and spending a lot of time there means more success in your blogging , more great contacts, learning new things daily - better than any other social media platform. Conversely, however, we all should note that there too much of everything is bad and there are still dangers in addiction and thus act accordingly.

Social media can indeed be very addictive.... that's why I didn't install steemit on my phone...

Social media addiction is what we are all guilty of. In my opinion i think should create time to steem hot and time to take care of ourselves and family. good job.

seriously this is so true and addiction is very common in social media.
many ladies due to facebook or wassap chat get their food burnt and family hungry or even forget to pick their kids from school.. thanks for sharing
