Embun merupakan uap air yang dimana mengalami proses pengembunan dan proses berubahnya gas menjadi cairan. Embun dapat terbentuk dengan baik pada saat malam hari cerah dan tenang. Terbentuknya embun juga dengan baik pada saat suhu kelembaban bumi tinggi. Disaat angin bertiup dan udara tidak memiliki waktu untuk bersentuhan dengan benda-benda dingin. Ini sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lebih banyak untuk menjadi dingin mendekati titik embun.
