The foundation of Dhikr by moving the head

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Many of our scholars and kyais while dhikr move head, to the right and to the left, both when Dharid Thariqah and the Dzikir majlis. Some say heresy, there is no example of the Prophet and others.

We find the story of the Companions doing that, as the two scholars of Hadith and historian Al-Hafidz Ibn Katheer and Al-Hafidz Ibn Jauzi wrote:

والله لقد رأيت أصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم فما أرى اليوم شيئا يشبههم, لقد كانوا يصبحون صفرا شعثا غبرا بين أعينهم كأمثال ركب المعزى, قد باتوا لله سجدا وقياما يتلون كتاب الله يتراوحون بين جباههم وأقدامهم, فإذا أصبحوا فذكروا الله مادوا كما يميد الشجر في يوم الريح

means:

Sayidina Ali bin Abi Talib said: "By Allah, I have indeed seen the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). I do not see today something that resembles them. Indeed the Companions have been seen in the morning in a state of disheveled hair, between their eyes like a goat's knee, they have spent the night due to Allah, they prostrate, they build worship, recite the Qur'an and they break between their foreheads and feet. If they have awakened in the morning they dhikr to God by moving like a tree that moves in a strong wind "

So actually those who accuse the heresy have never dzikir much and old. Let them invite the old dhikr (as Allah commands in al-Ahzab 41) without moving his head, insha Allah not long his neck will feel muscle pain.
