Hush now, SIR!
It seems that he is so scared of strong women that he doesn’t know what to do with them, except degrade, insult, and strip them of their disposition by reducing them to nothing more than body parts.
“She is but a pair of legs and nice smooth knees.”
“She is but a sex tape and a lover.”
These are just few of the words that keep on coming out from his bad mouth.
The regularity of his statements and expressions have sent most of the Filipino people terrible and ghastly reactions, sending out angry statement after angry statement, posting enraged Facebook update after Facebook update.
In my opinion, I don’t have sufficient middle fingers for this kind of verbal abuse and humiliation we have been experiencing from this man for the past months.
Is that the kind of environment we want for our kids?
Many of us will be heard but not listened. Will be pitied not understood. Acknowledged but not helped. Nothing will be done to create in sustaining positive change.
Many of us will just completely overlook the fact that the liberty we enjoy today borne from the pains of women who came before us, the ones who found the courage to speak out.
Filipino women had it all. We could do whatever we want. We are all empowered. All we need to do is use it.
