New Belt Design by Armadilloman with process shots
I have created a new belt design for the Armadillo Leather shop.
I am always looking for different textures and surfaces to use in my hand textured leather. For this belt I use a half rotted stump out in my yard.
Leather is dampened and then hammered onto the surface of the stump.
I have done this hammered onto a stump treatment to a belt strip that I then color with a HiLite stain.
The excess stain is taken off the high areas of the leather with a damp paper towel, leaving the stain in the depressions.
Finish the edges, stain the back and apply a coat of clear acrylic and you have a belt.
Each belt is unique with an embossed design taken directly from nature.
Find this belt an many more in the ArmadilloLeather Shop on Etsy.
