Bound tea

Bound tea as it is also called, twisted tea is a small briquette of a rectangular, oval or round shape. Its peculiarity lurks inside and opens directly during brewing. The origin of bound tea is for certain unknown and there are several opinions on this matter. Some historians, referring to the phrase "blooming tea", found in ancient manuscripts, say that bound tea appeared long ago. The second category of less romantic believes that this way of brewing is just a successful marketing move of China towards Europe (after all, tea is very popular there). There is also a third version of the origin of tea, associated with a single legend. This legend says that the emperor of China ordered his subordinates to prepare for his wife, who had just given birth to him an heir, a tea that would not only be useful and restored her strength, but also surprised and evoked delight.
