Four bodies or skeletons have been stolen from the graveyard in Jhenaigati in Sherpur, unknown unidentified miscreants have taken away. On Sunday (August 5th), the dead bodies were stolen from the graveyard of Gharagara Maruapara and Ghagra Mainpara in the upazila. The deceased were identified as Kafil Uddin, 90, of Ghagarha Maruapara village under Hatibandha Union, Chan Mia, 62, and his wife Amena Begum, 60, and Siraj Mia, 65, of Ghagra Mainpara village.
Family and local sources of the deceased have been informed that, about six months ago Kafil Uddin, half a month ago Chan Mia, Amena died four months ago and Siraj Mia died a year ago. After the death, the dead bodies were buried at the family graveyard of Maruapara and mainpara villages. On Monday (August 6th), relatives of the deceased were seen to see some grave graves in the graveyard and the smell came out from the grave. At that time, they went to the grave and found that there was no body or grave in the grave. Then the matter spread to the people and there was a stir in the area.
The deceased's nephew Ziaur Rahman said, Initially, they are convinced that some unknown miscreants had stolen these bodies or skeletal graves at some time during the late night on Sunday.
Confirming the matter, Jhenaidati Police Station Officer-in-Charge Biplob Kumar Biswas said, "The police officer has been sent to the spot. After receiving the report from them, action will be taken according to the law.
