Two killed in lightning strike in Nilphamari
Two people were killed when lightning struck them at Dimla upazila of the district this morning.
Police said the lightning followed by a rainstorm hit housewife Asma Begum, 50, a resident of Balagram-Shalongram of the upazila, when she was in the yard of her house. She died on the spot.
Farmer Nur Amin, 45, resident of Kathali-Uttar Desibai village, died on the spot by lightning when he was working at a paddy field, said Sohrab Hossain, chairman of Kathali union parishad.
