Saturday and its twisted roads and turns

in #busy6 years ago

For me Saturday begun at 01:30 when I left the house to drive someone to Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade, Serbia. I don't know why, but the easiest way to get to Gothenburg, Sweden by plane is from Belgrade If you live in my part of the country. I haven't ever been to Belgrade and it seemed a nice experience, bur as I told @cicbar earlier I regret that I hadn't had the change to get to see the city by day as I only could take a picture from a bridge in the entire road trip. So, left the friend to the airport and drove straight back home on the challenging roads between the rocky walls and the edge of the road from the top of the Danube's shore. The twisty roads, however, helped me a bit, I have to say, because I was getting sleepy with 60-70 km before arriving home so I can't complain about them. Plus, I found an Italian driver in front of me that was in the mood for a chase and the sleeping feeling vanished quickly when pushing the gas enough to still drive safe. Arrived home with my friend, with whom I traveled to Belgrade, and he realized that he needs a new fishing rod so we drove to a city near us( at about 30 km) to buy him the gear.

The man who introduced me to crypto on a diet Pepsi. He's 100 kg so he doesn't need too much sugar anymore

The new fishing rod. Or at least a part of it and a passing train in the vicinity

The only pic I could snap from Belgrade...

Done that too an we finally arrived home at about 11:30 with more than 600 km driven on the Serbian and Romanian twisted and sometimes bumpy roads, the traveler "delivered" to Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade and with a new fishing rod so it was time to get some sleep. I wrote "some" because that's what I got. About three hours of a semi sleeping state that ended with a cold shower which prepared me for some short boat cruises on Danube and a bit of fishing. Unfortunately the sun "melted me" and got me almost where I left from, concerning lucidity and alertness, after the three hours of sleep. So, here I am typing with my eyes half closed and having a bit of a dizziness feeling from driving and the waves I had with the boat. Probably by the time you will read this I will be between dreams so don't expect too much interaction on the post in the hours to come. It was a good lazy day though, this Saturday, and a nice experience the drive through Serbia. Hope to get there next time during day time and make a proper "sharing post" about my impressions of the city.

How's your first day of the weekend?

Thanks for your attention,
Ace

Thanks for sharing, although its new place for me but I am happy to these views as these are looking to have a very refreshing breathe.

Yes. It's refreshing.

Took the kids to a restaurant in Kiel, that got quite expensive. More than 16 EUR just for the water, the kids also had some juice and Pepsi, plus 1.5l of beer for dad.

The draught clearly means profit for some!

(I'm used to getting water for free in the restaurants)

It's probably just Kiel. Germany is generally cheaper than Norway, but considering that Kiel is close to Denmark and lots of tourists transit it there's room for good profits so you got to respect the game.

@acesontop Thank you for not using bidbots on this post and also using the #nobidbot tag!
