The cyclic nature of life extends into all areas that involve humans. Market cycles are a true example of human emotion and irrationality. They allow for extreme capital gains and excruciatingly boring sideways/bear markets. Business development happens in both the bullish and bearish markets, yet a lot of forward movement happens during the bearish times.

The fundamental analysis that happens during periods like now is what separates top 20 and top 200 coins. The one's developing intensively and launching platforms, DEX's, new tech are the ones that will thrive the most in the next rally. While it is clear to me that all coins will pump, I also know that during bullish times the coins with the best hype, news, speculation and announcements will excel.

I am wondering if many of the ICOs of 2017 will die out. If these projects cannot keep their heads above water with the current price levels, I'd imagine development would halt.

With Bitcoin looking like this, right on the bounce spot, we will see what the market is going to do. Another break of support would trigger more panic selling and probably take price to $5.3k.

On the other hand, a bullish rise from this support level would certainly trigger more bullish sentiment. Currently, longs are outpacing shorts on Bitfinex and there is no chance for a short squeeze.

To me, with this in mind it only makes sense that a "long squeeze" is coming, in which price shoots down past several support levels, then bounces hard.
