To make that extra sales, you need to take advantage of Impulse buyers ! An average percentage of young people spend lots of money on impulse purchases in a year and if your business is not yet experiencing impulse sales then you should start considering how to promote your goods to appeal to impulse buyers and take advantage of them.
Study your clientele
Knowing your clientele will help you know the type of products they are likely to purchase impulsively. You will need information, like their age, gender, how long they spend on the internet, what will likely attract them to your business, etc. Then you begin planning an impulse sales technique.
Decide what appeal to your clients
Just like we see candies at the payment points at grocery stores and supermarkets, determine what works for your business. One very important feature of impulse sales, is that the products are inexpensive, small and available. So determine what appeals to your customers and what they can easily buy at the spot just like candies and mints at the supermarkets.
Use social media
Send out sales messages using social media channels and make sure your deals are attractive enough to bring customers to your store.

When sending our coupons and deals, always create a sense of urgency so that customers will be in a hurry to take part of the sales before it is over. But make sure the deals are really good! Which is why it is important to check what your competitors are doing, customers always know the deals happening around them and they will simply go with the best. Make yours unbeatable.
Accessibility
Make sure the products you are promoting are accessible. Place them in hot areas where they can easily be noticed by customers and also where they can be easily reached.
Use signs
Use bright colored signs to promote new sales. You can make them large or smaller to be placed at the check out counters.
Easy payments
Clients hate having to wait in a long queue, so avoid them. If a customer purchase a product impulsively, a long queue is a good place to have second thoughts and you don't want that. So make readily available as much check counters as possible and accept payment with credit cards, make sure the payment procedure is fast and stress free.
Place Complimentary products together
Placing products that go well together is a good method you can use to lure a customer into purchasing a whole package. For example placing coffee mugs beside coffee jars, the customer will simply want to buy both.
These will help you drive up impulse sales, so consider each tip and determine what works best for your business.. Don't just settle with regular sales when you can make much more on impulse sales as well..
