Alexa May Be Selling Your Conversations Soon

While we all like technology, at some point AI will take over the world. Part of me welcomes the AI advancements but the other part of me is hesitant to embrace systems that could one day erase our 4th Amendment rights. Every new development in technology primes future generations to be comfortable with the government and companies spying on and taking away their individual freedoms/privacy. I am excited at the thought of a driverless car picking me up, dropping me off and driving away for a small fee; but I am also nervous that this technology could lead to people being murdered by the government through a "vehicle accident".

Over the last week, I read that Amazon & Google are considering selling private conversations with your Alexa devices to developers. While many people may not have issues with this, once people start getting comfortable with it, it's only a matter of time before Corporations pay to listen to all conversations in your home.

So what are your thoughts, am I overreacting here or does the constant infringement on privacy alarm you?
