Estonia, the nation with less then 1,5 million people, has become world's most digitally advanced society Wired UK.
I did reside last 20 years in US and couple of month ago, coming to live in Estonia, I was surprised HOW digital is this small nation. Everyone has Digital ID (14 years already) Digital voting, no vehicle has paper insurance- it's connected digitally to your licence plate, digital parking over cellphone was established over 10 years ago etc.
And one more clever digital way:
Estonia is offering a tool E-residency for a whole world to do business with European Union. Kind of way to become a digital resident of Estonia/European Union. It's ingenious idea that gives almost anybody safe contact with Europe.
Positive side effect of it is that... potentially invading Russians need to overcome the pressure from 150 countries where live those 30000 e-residents that have established around 5000 companies in Estonia (actual numbers currently). And these numbers climb. As you can see, I'm big fan of small Estonia!
