There were many R&D I did for the candle business over the months, some are successful but most of the R&D failed due to many reason and I just couldn't figure out why it failed🤔 . I love R&D process simply because during the process I discover a lot of new things. Experiment is fun and at the same time can be costly too however, it has to depend on what kind of experiment you do.

Here are some of my failed wax melts, reason could be the formula that I mixed wrongly or just not suitable for each other. I'm still figuring out about what went wrong. Is it the temperature? Is it the wax? Is it the fragrance? Is it the way I pour? Although the wax melts R&D failed for this one however, it still smell amazing. Fish Shape Wax Melts

I determined the wax melts failed due to the colour, the look of the wax melts, a huge sinkhole.

The fish look like it has a lot of wrinkle

All of it has huge sinkholes, some even crack at the fish tail.

There are few colour on the fish shape wax melts

Initially, it is supposed to be a light blue fish shape wax melts but then the result is not. Once in awhile I will write some of the candle business update, right now I'm at the last stage of launching the business. It is definitely not easy with R&D, branding, design and etc. Hit some bumps along the way.
