Speaking Your Own Truth
Marketing and branding are about conveying to your audience the value behind whatever service or product you are providing through your business.
What makes you different from your competition?
Why should they buy from you or trust you over your competition?
It. Is. Up. To. You. To. Tell. Them. That!
Be Yourself
Many new CEOs and executives try to brand themselves as someone else, it doesn’t fit their personality and they come off looking stiff or not like themselves so its hard to relate to them.
Why would you buy from a company that you can’t relate to?
CEOs shouldn’t be trying to be someone else. They should be worried about managing their company and helping it to grow faster into something greater. Pretending to be someone that you’re not takes a lot of effort and takes your focus away from your business.
Granted, some people are unconventional, they are different. These people are the misfits and the ones that don’t fit into the box that society has created. Normal is overrated though, isn’t it?
If any of us was “normal” we wouldn’t be working on the blockchain or be as passionate about the future of crypto as we are.
Breaking Out of the Box
Those that choose to build businesses are not those that fit into neat, tidy boxes. These are the people that voluntarily choose to work late nights or long hours, miss time with family, and forego the security of a safe, cushy job in order to build something for themselves that they can believe in.
If they are going to break out of that box, if any of us are going to break out of the box, shouldn’t we just do it and be ourselves? Because the people that have come before us and changed the world have boldly walked that path.
The fearless ones are those that believe in the power of their dreams and are willing to go forth to pursue them and accomplish what they set out to do.
Marketing & Branding
When it comes to marketing or branding, putting your best foot forward and being professional is great but it doesn’t always get the job done. If you aren’t super professional in real life and are only playing at it, then when someone meets you in real life they will expect the same thing.
If someone finds out you are pretending and have been the entire time they may feel deceived and not feel they can trust you anymore. No one wants to feel like the wool has been pulled over their eyes. So, just build your brand around who you are and not who you think people want you to be.
Thanks for reading!
I mostly came to learn about Crypto ever since I joined steemit. Before,I had no interest in it.Now I am learning a lot about ICO,Tokens,Whitepaper and Company etc.
Now I have question for you:
I want to build a marketplace where people will be able to sell their creative digital products.I want to know how can I gain people's trust and make them coming to my platform?
That sounds like a great idea! As far as building trust for your brand, be consistent in your messaging and use your authentic voice. Find others that believe in your product or service and have them help to spread the word. You could consider partnering with others that see your vision and can help you create it. The right management for a company, also, helps to build trust for a budding company. I always look at the management of a company before choosing to invest. Thanks for a great question, I hope this helps you!
