Today, I want to quickly address one core business skills which a lot of Nigerian Youths are lacking in the market place.

If you use social media platforms like facebook, instalgram, whatsapp etc, you need to learn how to introduce yourself and your business in a way that your online audience will love, trust and patronise you as soon as possible.

Each Social media has it own uniqueness. Today, my focus is on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is a multimedia content exchange platform use for exchanging pix, videos,chat and voice notes or documents.

When you flood your audience with numerous pixs of your products to you, you are showcasing your products to most of your audience you are clogging them with irrelevant information.

Take for example, you are a car dealer, you sell cars, your whatsap group chatters will not patronise you simply because you send load and loads of cars in your show rooms.

You can achieve this by sending just one car with a note attached of what you do, how you do it well that others and how people can get in touch with you for more information to get best value for their budget.

This method is more effective than sending unsolicited pix to everybody on your group chat.

Your maturity and your civility will attract only serious minded customers who will now contact you privately and personally where he or she can request for more pix of your car or works.

Today's lesson is focussed on that short post which I term the elevation speech.

I was on a course in November 2017 on networking skills. The important lesson i took out is how to having your own genuine elevator speech: it must be short and simple, introducing who you are; what help you offer people; what people will benefit.

I acknowledge the that i struggle to describe what i do when i meet people for the first time. We were advise not to use our job title because most of the time it closes the conversation. For example My name is Francis, I am a Life Coach and a discipline DRUMMER. Most people have an impression of What life coach do and they can easily associate you with it, however a well planned elevator speech is your own opportunity to make the right first impression enticing people to want to know more about you.

My name is FRANCIS ITUA I help young people access career and life success development information using a mentoring approach; so that they can discover their potentials, create their own employment or collaborate with other like minds to create products and services that solves problem on a massive scale.

Here is my own elevator speech i have created this morning. Please look at it critically. Please give me your constructive feedback to improve it.
