New ways to find the perfect vacation rental

Many travelers have grown accustomed to finding vacation rentals by going directly to sites like Airbnb, HomeAway and VRBO.

But these days you can find and book a rental halfway around the world in ways you may not have considered, or even know about: on traditional hotel and airfare booking websites like Expedia and Hotels.com, through the hotel review (and now booking) site TripAdvisor or even in Google search.

Let’s begin with Google search. If you’ve used it lately to find a hotel, you may have been given the option to filter those results for vacation rentals.

Global business and technology publication, Wired, has named Barcelona Software-as-a-Service company Lodgify as one of the 100 hottest startups in Europe. This top list, devised with the help of professional opinions from investors, entrepreneurs, tech experts, and designers, has been an ongoing annual feature in the Wired magazine since 2011.

Vacation rental company celebrates 13 years by surprising loyal guest

Paso Robles Vacation Rentals celebrates their 13th year providing quality, privately-owned vacation home rentals in Paso Robles Wine Country. Started in 2005 by Kathy Bonelli with just a few properties, it has grown to over 90 vacation rentals that they market, manage and maintain for their clients.

In celebration of their 13th year in business, Paso Robles Vacation Rentals arranged special treatment for loyal repeat guest from Northern California Dan Short, whose reservation number happened to be 13,000. He rented a special five-bedroom home in Creston, called Twist Ranch, where he and 10 of his friends barbecued, had a great time golfing and enjoying Paso Robles. It was his 6th time renting with the company. He received gift baskets, a fully stocked refrigerator, comped drinks and breakfast burritos at Hunter Ranch.
