Who is BURST?

Most cryptocurrencies come into the world via an Initial Coin Offering or ICO. With the ICO comes the fanfare of an announcement that tells you what the coin is, who is developing it and some technical details about it. There was no ICO with BURST and no premine. The coin was announced on Bitcointalk.org. The developers have created a great coin. The first coin to include Smart Contracts. Mining it uses a Proof of Capacity algorithm that uses little power instead of the resource hungry Proof of Work algorithms used in most of the other cryptocurrencies out there. Today the development team is all over the world.
But they are not the first people you meet when you come to the coin.

For better or for worse, the first thing you see when you come to BURST is the community. If you judge BURST by the community you may be a little disappointed and this is a really sad thing. The community has some of the most generous, smart people in it and it also has some of the most immature and sophomoric bunch of people ever. You may be forgiven if you believe that these people are BURST. They set up websites and forums and well, overshadow everyone else. You get the sense that BURST is ran by a group of children. You don't get this sense when you see other crypto. The louder BURST people out there make it more about themselves and their legend than BURST. BURST sells itself if we let it.

I already mentioned that BURST comes with Smart Contracts which show up in the BURST wallet as Automated Transactions(AT). BURST had these before the beloved Ethereum. The wallet is very nice although I wish it was not based on Java. There is still room for mining BURST for even the most inexperienced. I mine with a relatively small rig and I get 100-150 BURST a day. I bought three 8 TB drives for the cost of one 8GB GPU. In case you don't know, you won't mine much with one 8GB GPU.

But I want to get back to the developers for a minute. Recently, the BURST blockchain was attacked. The attack created a whole bunch of problems. The developers went into action and the everything was fixed and improved. It was not the loud personalities out there who fixed things; it was the developers.

I am writing all this dribble because I read far too many posts out there about people being disillusioned with BURST. The response from one of the prominent BURST figures out there (NOT a developer) was to tell people to sell the coin and get out of it. Sad. Far more beneficial for the coin would be to stop all the childish behavior. So I advice people to do what I do and focus on the coin itself. I have not sold any of the BURST I have acquired since day one because I know this is a real contender. With a little over 2 billion BURST total the value of this coin could soar.

So look into BURST and look at BURST. BURST is the coin and it's developers. The rest of us are no more than adoring fans.
