The Diary Game (05-08-2024) - Today's Activities

On a sunny morning, I start the day with a simple but important routine: washing clothes. After breakfast, I went to the laundry room and prepared the washing machine. I separated dirty clothes by color, put colored and white clothes into two different drums, and added detergent as directed.

With one press of a button, the washing machine starts spinning, making a pulsing sound that indicates the washing process is in progress. I brewed tea while monitoring the clock, making sure the washing time was according to plan. During the wash cycle, I take the time to prepare my agenda for the day.

Before long, the washing machine stopped working, indicating that the washing was complete. I opened the washing machine door and took out clothes that were clean and fresh. I dried my clothes outside, enjoying the warm morning sun. That way, the clothes are clean and ready to wear again, and I feel ready to face the day.

Today I decided to try something new in the kitchen: cooking chicken using banana stems. It sounds strange at first, but I heard that banana stems can provide a unique aroma and a slight sweet taste to dishes.

This morning, after buying fresh chicken from the market, I started preparing the ingredients. Cut the chicken into small pieces, according to the recipe I got from the internet. Then, I tried cutting the banana stem which was dry and quite hard.

While cooking, I was curious about the aroma produced by these banana stems. I heated the oil in a large frying pan and sautéed the garlic until fragrant. Then, I added the chicken pieces and banana stems. You can immediately smell the aroma, a mixture of the smell of chicken with a hint of the sweet aroma of banana stems.

I added a little seasoning such as salt, pepper, and a little soy sauce to add flavor. I let the dish boil slowly, so that the chicken meat is really soft and the spices are absorbed.

After a while, I tried this dish. The taste is truly unique! There is a touch of soft sweetness from the banana stem which blends with the savory chicken meat. I'm very happy with the results.

At three in the afternoon, after school, the children gathered in the front yard of my house. They brought a small bag filled with marbles that I used to play with. The children, Rizky, Maya, and Irfan, also brought their own marble collections.

They make a circle on the ground with small stones to define the playing area. It didn't take long for them to start the match. The rules of the game are simple: each player throws his marbles into the circle, and the one closest to or touching the other marbles will be the winner.

The atmosphere became noisy with laughter and small screams when the marbles collided or almost fell into the hole. Time passed so quickly while they were engrossed in playing. Sometimes there were also tense moments when one of us almost won all the opponent's marbles!

After finishing playing until before Maghrib time. They finished playing marbles and went home.
