• Mention and discuss Extensively the other types of Mockups not captured in this lesson.

Through this week lesson post, I have learned that mockups play an important role because they allow us to visually represent a product and see how it would look in real life. For our assignment, we had to explore some types of mockups, and here are the ones I found and learned about:

1. Packaging Mockups

Packaging mockups are used to see how a product will look in different packaging types, like boxes, bottles, or jars. For example, if we are packaging food, cosmetics, or electronics, we can check how the design looks on the packaging. This can decide which packaging design will attract more customers and make the product appealing.

2. Website Mockups

They allow us to visually plan the layout of a website before we starting coding because as a programmer student I have experienced this . For instance, we can decide where buttons, logos, or menus should go, we ensure the user interface is attractive and user friendly. This helps us create a website design that customers will like and find easy to navigate.

3. Interior Design Mockups

Interior design mockups are used by architects and interior designers. They help visualize how a room or space will look after it is decorated. For example, they can show where furniture should go or how a specific color scheme will appear, makew it easier to finalize the interior design.

4. App Mockups

App mockups are used by app developers to check the design and user interface of an app. Before the actual development stats, designers use these mockups to plan the app layout and make sure it is easy to use. This helps create us user friendly app that customers will enjoy using.

5. Digital Advertisement Mockups

Digital advertisement mockups are helpful for brands that want to run ads on websites or social media platforms. These mockups show how the ad will look on mobile screens, laptops, or other devices. This allows us to test and improve the design of their ads before launching them.

6. Book and Magazine Mockups

These mockups are used by authors and publishers to see how the design of a book or magazine will look before publishing. For example, the cover design, page layout, or overall look of the book is checked to ensure it attracts readers. A good mockup can make the book appealing to buyers.

• Do well to mention and explain other importance of mockups in promoting a brand/product.

Mockups are really helpful when it comes to enhancing creativity and trying out different ideas. For example, when we are working on a product, we can use mockups to test different designs, logos, and styles to see how they would look in real life.

If we’re designing T-shirts, mockups allow us to experiment with various styles, colors, and logos to find the most attractive design for customers.

Using mockups is also cost effective because we can finalize our designs before actually making the product. For instance, if we are starting a T-shirt brand, mockups help us see which design or logo and thee color combination looks better and is more likely to attract customers.

The same applies to packaging, like in the case of cosmetic products. Mockups let us test different packaging designs to pick the most appealing one.

Mockups also help us maintain consistency in design. They allow us to check how the colors, styles, and logos look together. For example, we can ensure that the size and color of a logo fit perfectly with the overall product, making it more attractive and professional.

Another great thing about mockups is that they help engage customers and increase their interest in the product. A well made mockup can make the product look so appealing that customers are excited to buy it.

For instance, when companies design mobile phones, they use mockups to finalize the style, logo, and overall appearance, ensure the product looks great and grabs attention.

Mockups also allow us to spot errors and fix them early. For example, if a logo doesn’t match the color of a T-shirt, we can change it during the mockup phase instead of finding out after production. This saves our time and money and ensure our product is perfect.

Also they are great for building trust with clients and investors. When we show them mockups, they get a clear idea of what the final product will look like. For example, if we are pitching a new idea to an investor, mockups show our professionalism and give them confidence in the product.

• Using your logo of last week's task (or a new one if you don't participate last week) and a new flier for the week, demonstrate how to use the mock up feature to promote your brand using the following information below.

To complete this task , I opened Canva and selected the Instagram Post template to work on my design.

I clicked on the "Apps" section in Canva and typed "Mockup" in the search bar.

A variety of mockup options then I clicked on mockups and downloaded that one , then I opened it and found one featuring a laptop screen.

I selected the mockup, downloaded it, and opened it again.

To customize it, I uploaded my logo from the Gallery and placed it on the laptop screen in the mockup.

After resizing and adjusting the logo to fit perfectly, the laptop mockup was complete.This gave me a clear idea of how my logo would appear in a digital workspace.

a. Search for a good t.shirt mockup and then promote your brand by putting in your logo.

After completing the first mockup, I moved on to the T-shirt mockup.

I reopened Canva, went to "Apps", and typed "Mockup" again.

I selected the popular Mockup option. Various designs appeared, so I chose a popular mockup featuring a girl wearing a plain T-shirt.

I clicked on the Gallery, selected my logo, and placed it on the T-shirt in the mockup.

I adjusted the size, position, and alignment of the logo to make it look realistic and professional.

The mockup was finalized so nice it shows how my brand’s logo would look on a T-shirt, makes it ready for promotional use.

b. Search for an outdoor advertisement means like "billboard mockup" where you can put in your flyer design or banner for promotion.

For the outdoor advertisement, I focused on creating a billboard mockup to showcase my flyer design.

I opened Canva, went to "Apps", and searched for "Mockup".

I browsed through the options and found a category named "Outdoor Mockups".

I selected a billboard image that looked suitable for displaying my flyer.

To customize the mockup, I clicked on the Gallery, uploaded my flyer design, and placed it on the billboard.

After resizing and positioning the flyer properly, the billboard mockup was ready. Wow my flyer would look in a real world advertisement setting.

c. Lastly, pick any befitting mock up of your choice to promote steemit as a brand by using the steemit logo.

Finally, I created a mockup to promote Steemit as a brand.

First, I downloaded the Steemit logo to use in my design.

I reopened Canva, went to "Apps", and searched for "Mockup" again.

This time, I chose a T-shirt mockup where a person was wearing a plain shirt.

I uploaded the Steemit logo from the Gallery and placed it on the T-shirt in the mockup.

After adjusting the size and placement of the logo, the mockup was ready, shows Steemit branding on a T-shirt.

That's it from today's blog I hope you will like it.Through this task, I learned how useful mockups are for promoting a brand. They help us see how our designs will look in real life, whether it’s on a T-shirt, a billboard, or any other item. With best wishes ❤️.
