Double AMT Klingon Bird if prey build part 1

An update on my latest double build. Two Klingon bird of prey from AMT. I have started basic assembly and painted black paint on the interior to help with light blocking. (Light from the LEDs can shine through the plastic). I have also drilled out all the windows and the forward deflector.

I also needed to add some 2 part epoxy to help reinforce the joins as well as the mounting stand.

Testfit, testfit, testfit.
I needed a little rethink on how to wire up the models. Each will now be built in 3 sub assemblies. Left wing, body and right wing. With the final wiring being done between the wings and the body. You will see what I mean lol. Foil has been added to make sure the LEDs next to the plastic don't show through from inside.

All that remains now is to spray the interior white, then the wiring can commence. I have also come up with a little cheat to help compensate for my limited soldering skills and lack of internal space in the kit lol.
