Frustrations with utopian.io treating unexpected and incorrect output as a feature request.
User is frustrated
Now I am getting frustrated.
I consider myself an investor in utopian.io, a user of the system and my time and my 20+ years of experience as an IT profession should not be wasted.
Also I consider any system that wastes my time as an investor a Bug, not a feature. If it loses my work, destroys my data or gives me misleading information, I consider this a defect to be fixed not a suggestion for improvement.
The entire frustration is centered around the question if a given behaviour is a bug or not. I do not agree with how the utopian.io team is handling my bug reports and saying they are suggestions.
The First ever bug
Lets just look at the first bug ever.

Background
I report a bug and one guy says it is a suggestion, I say it meets the template of a bug perfectly, does not meet expected behavior, how to reproduce with a video. The suggestion category does not match that, and is for new non-existing features, not bugs in existing code, but for some reason there is a new trend from utopian to consider all bugs in utopian and steem as features and not bugs.
Then after I repost it as a suggestion even though it does not match that I am told wrong category!!!
What should I do?
What is a bug ?
I think that the bugs reports I have found are failures in expected existing behavior, not any new feature. Giving a user an intelligent feedback is not a feature in my opinion.
"A software bug is an error, flaw, failure or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways. " according to Wikipedia
and the incorrect and unexpected results are the ones that I have been documenting
giving a correct or expected result is not a feature.
What does utopian.io consider a bug?
Well one that matches the template, what is it?
* In this category you can only report bugs you have found in an Open Source project.
* You must provide every possible detail to reproduce the bug.
* You should show a video or an animated GIF if the bug can be recorded on screen.
* You must include: browsers, devices, operating systems used and similar info to reproduce the bug.
Here is the template
#### Expected behavior
Write here the details of the behaviour you were expecting when encountered this bug.
#### Actual behavior
Write here the details of the behaviour that you are experiencing as a bug.
#### How to reproduce
Write here every possible detail to reproduce the bug.
* Browser:
* Operating system:
#### Recording Of The Bug
If the bug can be recorded on screen, please provide a short video or an animated GIF, otherwise delete this section.
What is a suggestion ?
*Suggestions are minor features/enhancements that you would like to have in an Open Source project.
My note : feature and enhancement means the functionality is not there currently.
*Suggestions may be only related to the technical aspects of the project not process or organisational issues.
*Suggestions must provide all the details for the requested features to be actually built.
*Images, screenshots, links and examples are always welcome in this category.
Template :
#### Components
Write here the components/parts/sections of the software your suggestion is about.
#### Proposal
Write here the details of your proposal, how you think the components/parts/sections should be modified/enhanced and how.
#### Mockups / Examples
Paste here mockups or examples to show how your proposal will look like once implemented, if applicable.
#### Benefits
Write here the benefits the components/parts/sections of the software will gain once your proposal will be implemented and problems it will solve.
Comparison
You can see that the bug report and suggestion are very different and if you are reporting an existing bug in existing code you can reproduce it exactly and provide instructions and a video for doing so, the suggestion cannot be reproduced with existing code because it does not exist yet.

The Suggestions section receives a much lower upvote % than the Bugs section, so I think that's why mods are always pushing people to move. I've had this issue too - it seems to be on a mod-by-mod basis and if you talk to them in Discord it helps sometimes. I agree that the current system is frustrating sometimes but I don't know of any way to fix it - maybe users and mods could rate each other mutually?
They just need some real rules and not the "boss is always right" rule
