The amount of capital that has been put into the infrastructure of many blockchain platforms is clearly a sign that there will be pivotal point for the industry soon. Regulatory clarity will truly be a large catalyst as many institutions cannot even consider the asset class without the clarity given their fiduciary responsibilities. Whether good or bad, the fact that a framework is provided will pave the way for more development and innovation which could attend to the needs for larger scale adoption.
