BTS begins the World Tour at the end of August/월드투어 대장정 나서는 방탄소년단

세계를 제패한 보이그룹 방탄소년단이 이달 말부터 국내외 약 80만 명의 팬들과 만나는 월드투어 대장정에 돌입한다.   

이번 투어는 방탄소년단이 빌보드 1위에 오른 뒤 처음 열리는 순회공연이자 '러브 유어셀프'(LOVE YOURSELF) 시리즈를 마무리하는 리패키지 앨범 '러브 유어셀프 결 앤서'가 발매된 다음 날 시작한다는 점에서 세계 팬들의 열기가 뜨겁다.      

18일 현재까지 예정된 '러브 유어셀프' 투어는 오는 25~26일 9만명이 모일 서울 잠실 올림픽주경기장 공연을 포함해 16개 도시에서 33회, 총 79만명 규모로 열린다.   소속사 빅히트엔터테인먼트에 따르면 9~10월 미국 로스앤젤레스·오클랜드·포트워스·뉴어크·시카고·뉴욕과 캐나다 해밀턴 등 북미 공연이 22만명, 10월 영국 런던·네덜란드 암스테르담·독일 베를린·프랑스 파리 등 유럽 공연이 10만명, 11월과 내년 1~2월 일본 도쿄·오사카·나고야·후쿠오카 등 4개 돔 공연이 38만명 규모다.   뉴욕 스타디움 공연은 현지시간 17일 오후 4시, 일본 돔 투어는 27일 예매가 시작되며 나머지 공연은 이미 매진됐다.    

◇ 올림픽주경기장 입성…티켓 매출 약 95억원 추산   팬덤이 막강한 가수도 국내 최대 공연장인 올림픽주경기장에서의 이틀 공연은 이례적이다. 그간 조용필이 2010년 소아암 어린이를 돕는 콘서트를 이틀간 열어 약 10만 관객을, 그룹 엑소가 지난해 5월 2회 공연을 펼쳐 7만 팬을 모았다.  방탄소년단의 이번 관객 규모는 9만명으로 9만9천(S석)과 11만원(R석) 하는 티켓 가격 평균치를 10만5천원으로 계산하면 티켓 매출이 94억5천만원에 이른다. 4회에 걸쳐 진행된 예매는 순식간에 매진됐다.  한 공연 관계자는 "올림픽주경기장은 팬덤이 대규모인 레전드 가수들만 설 수 있는 무대로 입성 자체가 많은 것을 증명한다"며 "해외 팝스타로는 콜드플레이가 2회, 폴 매카트니가 1회 공연을 펼칠 정도로 극소수에게만 열린 무대다. 방탄소년단의 경우 지금 추세라면, 3회 공연을 하더라도 티켓이 매진됐을 것"이라고 말했다.   

◇ 4만석 미국 스타디움 공연은 최초…팝스타 대열   해외 공연 중 눈여겨볼 대목은 한국 가수 최초로 미국 스타디움에서 단독 콘서트를 연다는 점이다.  이들이 10월 6일 공연할 뉴욕 시티필드는 뉴욕 메츠 홈구장으로 4만 팬이 모일 것으로 기대된다. 이곳에서는 2009년 폴 매카트니가 개장 공연을 연 이래 비욘세, 제이지, 50센트 등의 팝스타가 공연을 펼쳤다.  뉴욕 메츠 홈페이지에 따르면 방탄소년단 공연은 60달러부터 100·140·175·210·250달러까지 6단계로 티켓 가격에 차등이 있으며 1인당 8장까지 예매할 수 있다.  홈페이지는 방탄소년단에 대해 "전 세계 수백만 팬의 마음을 사로잡은 한국의 보이 밴드"라며 "2013년 6월 데뷔 이래 세계적인 현상이 됐다"고 음악 차트 1위, 세계 투어 매진, 빌보드 뮤직 어워즈 수상 등 이력을 소개했다.   현지 언론도 공연 약 2개월 전 일정이 발표된 방탄소년단의 시티필드 무대에 관심을 나타냈다.  미국 경제지 포브스는 이 소식을 전하며 "방탄소년단은 야구장에서 공연한 잭 브라운 밴드, 데드&컴퍼니, 레이디 가가, 비욘세와 같은 아티스트에 합류하게 됐다"며 K팝이 얼마나 더 커질지 모른다는 인상적인 신호라고 소개했다.  미국 시사주간지 타임도 시티필드 공연에 대해 "방탄소년단 월드투어의 북미 지역 마지막 무대"라며 "이들은 이미 미국과 캐나다에서 12개 이상의 공연을 매진시켰다"고 전했다.     

◇ 유럽 4개국 10만명 규모…영국 O2아레나 무대도   10만명 규모인 유럽의 티켓 예매 열기도 뜨거웠다.   방탄소년단은 10월 9~10일 영국 런던 O2아레나를 시작으로 13일 네덜란드 암스테르담 지고돔, 16~17일 독일 베를린 메르세데스-벤츠 아레나, 19~20일 프랑스 파리 아코르호텔 아레나에서 공연을 펼친다.  그중 팝스타들의 공연 명소로 꼽히는 곳은 2만석 규모의 실내 경기장 O2아레나. 그간 프린스, 콜드플레이, 비욘세, 리애나, 저스틴 비버, 아델 등 쟁쟁한 영미 팝스타들이 공연을 펼쳤으며 올해 2월 영국 최고 권위 대중음악상인 '2018 브릿 어워즈'(Brit Awards)가 열리기도 했다.   이들의 베를린 공연도 지난 6월 티켓 3만여 장이 모두 팔려나갔다. 티켓 가격은 최저가 73유로(한화 약 9만4천원), 최고가 349유로(약 44만7천원)였으며, 일간 디벨트는 모든 티켓이 매진되는 데 9분이 걸렸다고 전했다.

The boy band Bangtan, which defeated the world, will begin the World Tour's general stage at the end of this month where they meet some 800,000 fans from both countries and countries.     

The tour will be the first tour since the Bangtan Battalion was ranked No. 1 on the Billboard chart, and the release of the "LVE YOURSELF" series will be released on the next day.        

The "Love U-Self" tour, which is scheduled to take place today, will be held 33 times and 790,000 times in 16 cities, including performances at the Olympic Stadium in Jamsil, Seoul from Saturday to Sunday.   According to the agency Big Hit Entertainment, the concert will be held in Los Angeles, Oakland, New York, New York, and Canada from September to October.   The New York Stadium performance began at 4 p.m. on May 17 and the Japanese Dome tour started on May 27, and the rest of the performances were already sold out.      

◇ Entry to Olympic Main StadiumThe singer, who has a huge fan base estimated at 9.5 billion won in ticket sales, also has an unusual two-day performance at the Olympic Main Stadium, the nation's largest venue. Cho Yong-pil held a two-day concert to help children with childhood cancer in 2010, drew 100,000 viewers, while the group EXO performed twice in May last year to draw 70,000 fans.  The ticket sales of the bulletproof youth group are 90,000 people, and the average ticket price of 94,000 (S) and 110,000 (R) seats is 105,000 won. All four bookings were sold out in no time.  "The Olympic Stadium proves that there are a lot of fans who can only stand on stage, so many foreign pop stars have Coldplay and Paul McCartney has performed two times. "If the Bangtan team is in the current trend, tickets will be sold out even after three performances."     

◇ 40,000 seats at the U.S. Stadium for the first time...One of the highlights of overseas performances by pop stars is the first time a Korean singer will hold a solo concert at a U.S. stadium.  The New York City Field, which will be performed on October 6, is expected to attract 40,000 fans to the Mets' home stadium. Since Paul McCartney opened in 2009, pop stars including Beyonce, Jay-Z and 50 cents have performed here.  According to the New York Mets website, the Bangtan band's performance ranges from 60 dollars to 100 dollars, 175, 210 and 250 dollars, which is different in ticket prices and can be booked up to eight tickets per person.  "It is a boy band that captivated millions of fans around the world," the website said. "It has become a global phenomenon since its debut in June 2013," introducing the top music chart, selling out the world tour and winning the Billboard Music Awards.   Local media also expressed interest in the "Cityfield" stage of the Bangtan Youth Group, which was announced about two months ago.  The U.S. business magazine Forbes reported that the Bangtan band will be joined by artists such as Jack Brown Band, Dead & Company, Lady Gaga and Beyonce, who performed at the ballpark.  "The Bangtan World Tour is the last stage in North America," said Time, a U.S. weekly magazine.       

◇ 100,000 in four European countries...The European ticket reservation craze for the O2 Arena in the U.K. was also hot.   Bangtan will perform at O2 Arena in London from October 9 to 10 in the U.K., Amsterdam, Gagadom on October 13 and Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany on October 16 to 20 in Paris.  Among them, it is O2 Arena, a 20,000-seat indoor stadium. British pop stars such as Prince, Coldplay, Beyonce, Liana, Justin Bieber and Adele have performed and the "2018 B.B."   Their concert in Berlin also sold 30,000 tickets. Ticket prices were 73 euros (about 94,000 won) the lowest price, the highest price was 34,000 won (about 447,000 won), and daily DVD said that it took nine minutes for all tickets to be sold out.
