My Top 5 Cryptocurrencies to HOLD

These are my picks for the cryptos that will weather the ups and downs of the market. When it comes down to my picks with NO speculation whatsoever, these hold down their value and have proven themselves over the test of time thus far.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin is the point of liquidity in the crypto market. It’s the coin everyone knows and it is the coin that the vast majority of newcomers into the market buy into when they enter. Not only this, but bitcoin is the most stress tested cryptocurrency on the market, having weathered the most cyber-attacks by far. It has shown that bitcoin can and has outperformed the majority of the crypto market.
Ethereum

Etherium has the largest number of both smart contracts and ICO’s launched on the ERC20 token platform. It has the most developers on the network by far. They are a true powerhouse that has also shown the ability to maintain popularity despite many competitors in the market
Monero

Monero is the currently the largest of the privacy coins, a market which has proven utility. As the largest, it has been said to have the most widespread usage and it has the largest brand. Not a lot of hype surrounds Monero, as it does with some other privacy coins and yet Monero is one of the oldest and is still around (recently outperforming even bitcoin).
Neo

Neo can handle 10,000 transactions per second (Ethereum is about 10-20. It supports multiple programming languages that allow for a greater ease of access. Neo already has many ICOs occurring on its platform and has gained massive popularity. It is better than Etherium from a technical standpoint, but Etherium has first mover’s advantage.
Cardano

Cardano has taken another approach to becoming a true 3rd Generation cryptocurrency platform by becoming on of the most academically reviewed cryptocurrencies. The team for Cardano, led by CEO Charles Hoskinson, is a real powerhouse (along with all of those on this list). The project is still in the early stages and yet it has maintained a very robust position in the market. With its next major update coming very shortly, I think we continue to see positive progress to really bolster Cardano in the top amongst all cryptocurrencies.
