Think platform independence! Is microsoft office not microsoft office when it moves from a PC to a Mac or from Windows to Mac-OS?

A hundred years from now will Bitcoin be still running on the same technology? The same hardware? The same software? The same developers? The same miners? If not, will it no longer be Bitcoin?

If it can change hardware and software and developers and operators completely over 100 years and still be bitcoin, why can't it do so in 100 days? What's different?
