WHY I STARTED USING THE BRAVE BROWSER AND WHY YOU SHOULD TOO
Good day Steemians, hope everyone is having an awesome monday! Just wanted to take a few minutes of your time to tell you about why I decided to switch my main browser from Firefox to Brave.
Now for those of you who are not sure of what I am talking about, Brave is a new privacy browser that provides a true built in ad blocker and that also keeps your data private. It was developed off Mozilla Firefox and so you know that the safety controls are tight but on top of that they built a system whereby you decide the ads that you want to see and like Steem created a token called the Basic Attention Token or BAT that allows you the user to actually reward your favourite content creators at large on the Internet.
Unlike Steem where you reward those content creators like myself on the Steemit platform, with Brave it is the entire Internet potentially. But in order for those creators to get rewarded though they have to have registered themselves with Brave as content creators.
Ok, so the reason why I decided to move over to Brave instead of Firefox was firstly because the base of Brave is Firefox anyway and so I am not really loosing out on that. I see it more as Firefox on steroids privacy-wise.
Because of the fact that you have total control of the ads that you want to see, including by the way how many ads per hour that you want to see; in addition to the fact that they have built in tracker blocking, script blocking and son on; it makes for browser peace of mind when you are browsing.
The best part is also that you are rewarded for your attention just as in Steem and so they understand that your time is valuable and yes content creators can create and we love them for that; but if no one is there to consume that content then it is for nothing. It is like a great book that was written with no one reading it.
So if you will like to give Brave a try; you can use my referral link just like with Steem and I will get a small token of appreciation from Brave for bringing awareness to the browser and for helping to grow that community.
