There is a new sheriff in miner town

About a month ago there was only 1 web browser miner called monero that was created in javaScript and installed in web browsers, then a second one popped up shortly after monero.

Now new sites are popping up on a daily basis. This could be that start of a new trend. The only bad thing about this new technology is that these new miner browsers that are mining for crypto do not notify users. They are quietly installed and are left running in the background using up all the users CPU without their notification.

There have been two new services that are up and running called MineMyTraffic & JSEcoin, there is some chatter that someone has spotted others called Coin have & PPoi.

When all this has been said and done Microsoft has recently come out and spotted two new services called coinBlind and coinNebula. Looks like some of these new services have their eyes on wordPress and are looking to spread their services to wordPress plugins.

These services look questionable some even have official websites and are pretty over confident to state their intentions. With all the drama going into mining crypto in the browser coinHive has made steps to correct their relationships with its users and have created a UI widget to let their users start or stop the process.

While most users have no idea this is going on, others are okay with these services running.
