NYC Quiet Day Today Lil Bit Of Rain Tomorrow

Good morning everyone. If you're up and out already, we have a chilly but beautiful start today. Clouds will begin to creep in later, with some scattered light showers tomorrow. Overall, we're in a transition period as our long term pattern re-organizes.

SATELLITE

We'll have increasing clouds today and a steady NE breeze. That'll hold temps down to the slightly below average realm and in the mid 40's. That's just the maritime push and not the marker for true cold air in the area, as lows only drop to near 40 overnight. REGIONAL RADAR

Tomorrow, a weak disturbance will push through, touching off some light showers. Theres nothing much of concern going on here, and everything will clear out for Wednesday. Highs tomorrow in the low to mid 50's.

Sunshine returns for Wednesday, and steady WNW winds with mid 50's will be on the menu. Clouds will increase again Wednesday night for Thursday & Friday's system.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

Expect more on and off showers for Thursday with mid 50's, then we have the chance of a brief mild push on Friday. It all hangs on the timing of the front and as usual, I will play conservative, especially with some morning rain in the forecast. Look for highs in the mid 60's, and we can adjust that as needed. Some outlets are calling for low 70's, but until I see how much sunshine may be involved after the rain, I'm not ready to make that call.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

Overall it's quiet yet active if that makes any sense. Weak systems will be moving through at a fairly quickly pace until we establish our pattern and slow things down a bit.
