I don't fully trust any of the exchanges. Not even CZ's exchange. About the reddit AMAs, I think censorship is an incredibly bad problem for user experience on reddit. Few hands have centralized control. Steemit on the other hand has downvotes and upvotes. But the content is never deleted. Things like that make me think reddit will die off eventually.
That's a good way to keep your funds safe, only use exchanges when you need to trade coins and then go back to cold storage asap!
