Hello Steemit bread bakers!

Winter holidays are coming. It may be one of the busiest season for hobby/professional bakers. But how about hosting a bread baking challenge during the holidays? You may have a lot to show.

It's not sure we should make it as a contest that has winners. A challenge like @needleworkmonday does that rewards all the participants or randomly picked participants may be an option too. Your suggestion is needed.

@akipponn will sponsor 10SBD for this contest/challenge. Usage of the 10SBD isn't fixed ;) Giving it away to winners, upvote the post with treeeplanter ...

Let's brain storm until in the end of the week.

Earlier entries are welcome! Here is the list of the rules:

  • Add #breadbakers tag
  • Link to this post or announcement we make soon (for safety leaving a comment to these posts with your post URL is helpful)
  • Posts should be made until 6th Jan 2019
Sort:

I would strongly vote for leaving it for the new year.
Maybe also cooperation with @jaybird's sandwich contest or with @cookwithus cooking contest?
I also have funds to support a competition, but I won't be able to contribute to the competition itself before January.

Thank you for your comment @breadcentric. I was wondering people will be too busy to post on Steemit during the winter vacation. I take it consideration to host it in January :) ...

I personally have a lot of small injuries on my hand due to hand foot mouth disease I got from my daughter. No baking for 5 days :( I wish I can bake new year's Brezel at least in the end of the year.

Talking about the contests, I wanted to participate the @jaybird's sandwich contest (using the bread I bake of course) for long.

Get well, I had it from my daughter three years ago. I couldn't walk without the needles sensation. The weirdest part was that couple weeks after recovery i had the blisters opening and removing the rest of what the illness caused.
I baked in gloves ;)

Pity you had it too. I made kimchi (Korean pickles) in gloves yesterday. But for bread I want to touch the dooooooough ... but our bread stock is running out. It's a good reason to come back to baking slowly slowly :)

Congratulations @breadbakers! You have completed the following achievement on the Steem blockchain and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :
