About São Paulo 🇧🇷🖤 471 birthday
Greetings, home-loving travelers!
Tomorrow, the 25th of January of 2025, marks the day of the 471 years birthday of my birth town, the city of São Paulo! Everyday, it is expected that more than 11 millions people live their lives in here, the biggest in Brasil.
It's really particular to be writing this post just weeks after my trip to Canada. Even though I saw really amazing and beautiful locations, and built life-long memories with really special people, it is like the poet said: there's no place like home.
And I, for one, really can call São Paulo my home. For the better and for the worst. If even some days I just need to be thousands of kilometers away from here. If this same Friday the car traffic jams due in part from the unexpected rain and in part from the expected rush hour forced me to change my plans. I love this city. It is alive. It has something happening at all times.
And as the best part of this city says,
Happy birthday São Paulo, your biggest flaw is not being called Corinthians
