Balalaika — The Mind-Reading Gadget from Russia

in #brain7 years ago

People who have been reading about brain-computer interfaces probably knew all along it was in development. But to many, the news of Balalaika developed by Russians is something new and exciting. See http://www.ernestdempsey.com/balalaika-russias-new-mind-reading-device/.

As the story goes, the device can record brainwaves signals and transfer them from a person's mind directly to some mechanical items, thus allowing people to do simple things (at this stage at least) directly from their minds. So the sci-fi concept of cyborg is apparently stepping out of the screen finally.

The interesting and curious part of the story is that lamestream propaganda media didn't jump on the story and create a hype they usually do about such developments. Is it because it happened in Russia? Likely, yes. But who knows what the media mobs are up to?
