Hey! I'm Wonderalice

Hey! I'm Wonderalice,

I thought I'd start a blog to write about all the weird and wacky thoughts in my head and not to mention all the equally crazy things I get up to in real life! I'm hoping when I'm old and grey I can click back on posts and remember all the hard times I got through and how EPIC-ly I managed it!

1. BPD
   For the past 4 years, I've been suffering with Borderline Personality Disorder, a mental illness not well understood by the majority of the public (something I'm hoping I can start to change with this blog). One integral part for me is having extremely intense emotions which I find incredibly difficult to conjure up the words to describe. Be it intense love or overpowering anger it all used to build up inside of me with no escape, until one day I picked up a pencil and began to draw. Drawing emotion can be really difficult, in fact the first thing I drew looked like this...!
   

2. Art
   If I sit for a minute and think, pretty quickly an idea pops into my head and no mater how bizarre, I just run with it, sometimes that means furiously digging into the page with my pencil carving the shapes into the page letting my illness stream out of me. I promise it's at least a little bit better than my first attempt. I hope to share these expressions of my mind with you and give you an insight to my mind.

3. Rats
   Do not underestimate the power of the pet rat! My beautiful rat babies Pablo and Watson, their little sniffy noses and big round ears are enough to put a smile on anyones face. Sweet natured, cheeky and ever so loving my rats are the best thing I own, misunderstood by many, I feel like they look after me as much as I look after them. I am honestly not sure how I was coping before them and to get real with you I remember I wasn't. When symptoms of loneliness and emptiness kick in and you feel numb to the world, you are never alone, you have a forever friend, say hi guys!

4. Skydiving
   Stop what you're doing, forget about that thing, get in your car and drive.
   Drive to the middle of nowhere, stop, put on your backpack, get in a plane and go up.
   Pass the clouds, to place it's sunny all year round, open the door, jump, fly...
   That's what living feels like, and living feels amazing! The biggest escape, the most freedom I ever feel, pure ecstasy.
   I'm a qualified skydiver and I love to free fly, I'm on my journey to becoming a skydive ninja, and wether I get there or not, it's gonna be one hell of a journey!
