Jeff Horn Vs Amir Khan 2018?!

in #boxing7 years ago (edited)

As you guys may know, Jeff Horn defended his WBO Welterweight title after beating Gary Corcoran via 1th Round TKO. Amir Khan, former WBA and IBF Lightweight Champion, hasn’t fought in the ring since Canelo Albarez knocked him out back in 2015.

Rumours started by Amir Khan, fresh off an embarassing yet entertaining stint on the hit UK TV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, called out Jeff Horn on his Snapchat by stating that Jeff Horn wouldn’t last 8 rounds with him. There’s a catch to this though, Jeff Horn has to see through Terence Crawford, his mandatory challenger. In my opinion, Terence Crawford is in the Top 5 Pound 4 Pound rankings and his ability to fight from Southpaw and Orthodox, counterpunches and speed will be to much for Horn, a traditional boxer.

If Horn does lose the fight, I think that Amir Khan will stop pushing for a fight with Horn but instead push for a rematch with LaMont Peterson, the only man to have beat Khan by decision. In my personal opinion, I think that Khan won there first match but LaMont Peterson is scheduled to face Errol Spence Jr in a unification bout. If Peterson does in fact win this fight, which I think he will as the boxer beats the puncher, Amir Khan will push forward as much as he can. If Peterson does lose, I think that Amir Khan should push for a fight against Danny Garcia because he made claims that the WBC promised him a fight against Danny Garcia, regardless the result of Khan vs Canelo. Errol Spence would ignore Khan if Khan does call him out since he wants a fight against Keith Thurman who last beat Danny Garcia. A fight against Danny Garcia would put the win jnfor title contention as they are both two of the best in there division and the winner should face the winner of Spence vs Thurman if both fights do happen.
