What will happen to Luca Hamori tomorrow as she boxes Imane Khelif
I am trying to understand this situation more and more and I am in big trouble. Based on what I understand, Imane Khelif was born as a woman and she is not a man that has gone through an operation to become a woman, but she is a woman (at least according to what I have read). But, she has a higher level of testosterone in her blood than women normally does and she has even had XY chromosome during a gender test, something that women shouldn't have. Based on such data, she hasn't been allowed to partake in female boxing tournaments so far, but for some reason, they decided to allow Imane Khelif to take part in the Olympics.
But, please explain someone... is she an actual woman with some "bugs" that make her way more masculine and with male values for some reason, or do we suspect that she was born a man but has in secret gone through operations to become a woman? Still, she has participated and competed among women since her birth (based on what I have read).
So, what's the reality here? Based on her masculine values, she shouldn't be allowed to box in the Olympics (that is obvious), but I am still curious about the reality of everything about Imane Khelif.
