Hi there! I'm so excited to be doing this review of my favorite bounty dapp of the moment just for the @yoodoo current task. First off, permit me to briefly intimate you on what bountues are in blockchain context...

You see, with the evolution of blockchain comes different means of doing things? Different means of advertisement, different means of earning, etc. Bounties in the context of blockchain might simply be seen as a form of advertisement commonly adopted by project owners to create awareness for their projects. From the point of view of bounty hunters (i.e. lay people like me seeking little ways of earning on blockchain), bounties are a ready avenue for us to grab some tokens which we might hodl for sometime or just exchange for the cash we need so badly. Haha! So basically, bounties are simply tasks that you can perform for a project in return for some tokens (compensation) and these can take different shapes and forms - ranging from tasks as simple as following the project's social accounts, liking and commenting on their posts/blog, to complex ones like composing articles/reviews, making videos, etc all to create some form of awareness about the projects, etc.
In view of this very important role of bounties in creating some form of publicity for blockchain projects, it has since become expedient to create a market place of some sort for projects owners and bounty hunters to facilitate a smooth exchange of values/services and this is where bounty0xcomes in.

ABOUT BOUNTY0X

Bounty0x is a platform set up with the sole aim of bringing together bounty hunters and project owners. Here, project owners have the liberty to post their bounty campaigns at an absolutely zero cost while bounty hunters on the other hand are charged 15% fee for every bounty they partake in - unless they opt to reduce the fee by staking some amount of the BNTY token which is bounty0x's platform token. At bounty0x, project owners(bounty Hosts) have the liberty to pay hunters in any digital currency of their choice - be it their own platform tokens or other major currencies like btc, eth, and usdt etc. The rewards are distributed to hunters either directly by the hosts or by the bounty0x team after the bounty submissions must have been sheriffed and approved. In the event of a rejected submission however, hunters are given a 7 days ultimatum to make appeal and have their submissions revised if they believe they were wrongly rejected and have the case reverted.

GETTING STARTED

• Visit https://beta.bounty0x.io and sign up with every necessary information as indicated on the sign-up page including a valid email address.
  
  You can signup either as a bounty hunter, a host (if you're a project owner), or as a sheriff (to verify bounty submissions).

• If you signed up as a hunter, you'll have access to a hunters page which looks like the one below after you must have verified your email and logged into the platform.
  

• Next is to provide your wallet addresses with which to receive payments. To do this, click on the human icon and scroll down to the 'payments' section.
  
  Ensure you supply your addresses of the networks listed there to enable you receive your rewards of any blockchain projects when you partake in their bounties.

• Next, link your social media media accounts. This enables your social tasks like Twitter and facebook follows, likes, etc to be traced and recorded.
  These done, you're set for bounty0x bounties.
  
  

PICKING AND SUBMITTING BOUNTIES

There are always one bounty task or the other which hunters can perform on bounty0x platform. To find a bounty, you either use the explore page which lists bounties in categories or you go to the Bounty Host page where you'll find different campaigns by different projects. Click on any of the campaigns to display the bounty details/guidelines then perform the given task(s) perfectly as per the guidelines. In campaigns like article writing and youtube video campaingns where you are required to submit the link to your work, simply return to the campaign page and scroll down to the bottom where you'll find an 'apply' button.

Tapping on that button would ultimately lead you to the submission page here

Insert your task link in the specified box and submit your work.

It's that simple!

Your rewards would be sent to your wallet address after your submission has been sheriffed and approved.

FEATURES OF BOUNTY0X MARKETPLACE

Below are some of the unique features of bounty0x dapp:

• Explore: This feature which can be found on the main menu enables hunters find campaigns by different categories like Twitter, facebook, article writing, YouTube video campaign, etc

• Submissions page:
  
  Here's where hunters can view the status of their submitted works. Approved submissions, rejected submissions, and those pending sherriffing are all displayed here accordingly.

• Bounty Hosts:
  
  This page displays different projects that host their bounty campaigns on the platform. Often times, a project can host several campaigns at the same time on the platform.

• Staking: This feature is put in place to reduce service charges for hunters. The staking is done with the bnty token. The more tokens hunters stake, the lesser their fees.

• An appeal feature: This enables hunters to create a dispute appeal if they feel their works were wrongly rejected. It enables hunters to seek justice for their works, this creating some kind of fairness.
  
  

DOWNSIDE:

A major downside with bounty0x is the long period of waiting hunters are often subjected to before being given their rewards though this is often caused by the hosts/project owners. Also, hunters are not rewarded for some tasks sometimes as some of the projects end up as scams. And the grievous of them all is that hunters submissions are sometimes wrongly rejected and the period given for appeals are short. Sometimes even if a hunter does manage to appeal his/her appeals are denied/unsuccessful

RECOMMENDATION:

It would be great if bounty0x can verify all projects properly before allowing them to board their platform. This would help get rid of scam projects. Also the team should endeavor to follow up as closely as possible on any project to ensure hunters get their rewards on time. It would be great also if the percentage fee is reduced for hunters - to say 10% - and the sheriffs cease erroneous rejection of submissions. I suggest also that the period given for appeals sold be extended to two or three weeks to accommodate more hunters in case some of them are away from online engagements for some time. I believe addressing all these issues would go a long way in boosting confidence and trust in hunters.

RATING

These few shortcomings notwithstanding, bounty0x is a great bounty platform in my opinion. I give it 4.5 of 5 stars.
