A day outside...
This is a photo that was taken on a hike with my son. It is my entry for #bouldersunday which was started by @shasta. In the woods, there are boulders everywhere. They were moved and deposited there years ago by the glaciers.

The signs that those glaciers Left Behind are evident everywhere here, and it is so seldom that people even give a thought to how are landscape was shaped. Great photo! !tip
Thank you! This was a fun hike! There were boulders everywhere. Yes, so much was carved out by the glaciers...and deposited by them too.
From my house, if I go east it's a very short distance to an area where there are kettles and moraines left by the glaciers.. if I go west it is a very short distance to what is referred to as the driftless area that was never touched by glaciers that all. Lots of really interesting geography around here.
I find the same thing around here. After taking some hikes with my son this past summer, I can better appreciate an area in which I have lived pretty much my entire life.
